The Opel CD was designed under the control of Charles M Jordan, and was first shown at the 1969 Frankfurt Motor Show on September the 9th. The Opel CD (Coupé Diplomat) featured a one-piece “greenhouse” windscreen and side windows with integrated doors, which pivoted forward to access the cabin. The Opel CD was based on an Opel Diplomat and featured the 5354cc Opel Diplomat engine.

This one-story residence for a single woman is located in a hilly area of Yokohamam, Japan. The client requested a house with an internal courtyard that would eliminate the differences in elevation throughout the site while ensuring a sense of privacy and comfort. In response, we decided to model the facade after a simple box encircled by the walls of the building.

One of the first celebrity photographers, David Bailey socialized with many of the cultural icons of the 60s – he lived with Mick Jagger, married the legendary French film actress Catherine Deneuve and had relationships with the models Jean Shrimpton and Penelope Tree. Along with Brian Duffy and Terence Donovan, he was one of the ‘Terrible Trio’ – self-taught East End boys who rebelled against the precious style of fashion portraiture as practiced by society photographers like Cecil Beaton and Norman Parkinson. His own fame was confirmed when director Michelangelo Antonioni used him as inspiration for the character of fast-living photographer Thomas Hemmings in cult film “Blow-Up” (1966).Outside the world of fashion photography, Bailey has pursued numerous personal and commercial projects; documenting the streetscapes of London, photographing the people and places of Havana, Cuba, and producing an intimate series of portraits of model Catherine Bailey, his current wife. He has also created record-sleeve art, feature films, documentaries and around 500 commercials. The vigour and variety of his work has made him the subject of numerous exhibitions, including a major traveling show that opened at the Barbican, London, in 1999 entitled “The Birth of Cool”.This handsome monograph provides an overview of Bailey’s career, including works from key monographs such as his debut Box of Pin-Ups (1964) and the controversial series The Lady is a Tramp (1995). The book, on a photographer whose reputation only continues to grow, will appeal to all photography enthusiasts and students, and to anyone with an interest in popular culture of the 1960s onwards.

The Ferrari P6 was designed by Pininfarina and first shown to the public at Turin Salon in 1968. The car was to feature a mid-mounted 3 litre 500bhp 60° V12 engine, though the prototype was a rolling chassis. The car design was to form the basis of the Ferrari 365 BB first shown in 1971.

John C. Kacere (June 23, 1920, Walker, Iowa – August 5, 1999, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was an American Photorealist. Originally an Abstract-Expressionist, Kacere moved to Photorealism in 1963. The subject of his Photorealistic paintings were exclusively the mid section of the female body. Though he didn’t consider himself a Photorealist, Kacere’s paintings exhibit all the traits of the Photorealists. He is considered one of the original Photorealist. Kacere painted his first photorealist painting in 1969 involving the mid-section of a female dressed in lingerie. It was over three times life size Kacere continued this type of painting throughout the rest of his career making it an icon of the photorealism movement. In the early 1980s Kacere branched away from this theme and included the entire body of a female in lingerie but returned to his original mid-section of the female body in 1988. Kacere’s paintings are figurative but still can be considered still lifes or even landscapes

The house is located on an island just by the sea fairway to the port of Gothenburg. The project is a transformation of a warn-down cottage from the 50’s with an extension from the mid 70’s. The building volume and most of the structure has been kept intact, in order not to exploit the landscape but just to refine and strengthen the qualities already existing on the site.
